I’ve got an Intel Quad Core Extreme Edition CPU with a pretty decent graphics card and a 24″ 1920×1200 pixel monitor, so I decided to see if I could run 2 copies of Savage 2 at the same time at smaller resolutions.

Yep!

So I went to work playing 2 characters at the same time, only problem is you have to keep switching between windows, but you can sort of command and play first person with the other character at the same time. With some practice I think I could get good at it.

Here’s some screenshots…and yes I finished the entire lair off with my behemoth.

As you can see, 2 copies of savage running (and no slow down at all), conjurer one screen, hunter the other...

I'm attacking the lair, and I thought I'd promote buying a full copy of Savage 2! with the other game, Get to it people!

Our commander left! So I took over...and with my 2nd character went and sieged their lair into the ground...fun fun

Highly Enjoyable Multiplayer PC Game

I played Savage, and I play Savage 2 currently, it’s a great game, easy to play, hard to master. Made by an independent games company S2, they made a cracking game but the game suffered from lack of advertising, even though it was in beta 2 years ago, I thought I’d promote it a little myself.

It’s FREE now, the full game is available as a free download, and it’s well worth trying out, give it 10 games before you decide. I would advise playing the tutorial through a couple of times, and do some practice before venturing into real games.

Theres a Ladder and Clan Matches, and the community is friendly, all the game needs is more followers!

The thing is, the game has a nice variety, 2 completely unique races, melee orientated battle with ranged weapons for softening the enemy up. There are also Hellbourne units, once you’ve collected souls (4+) you can trade them in at a HellShrine for Hellbourne units which are special, and do higher damage and have new spells.

If you’re into RTS, how does it sound being able to have units which are human controlled, you can issue them orders, build buildings, buff and debuff them, the commanders chair awaits you!
